BIO-UV, a French manufacturer of ballast water treatment systems, has received a contract to supply six BIO-SEA100 systems to a Spanish shipyard.
It is reported that these six systems will be installed on the series of offshore supply vessels (OSV) under construction, which is the first time BIO-UV has received orders from the shipyard. Xavier Deval, BIO-UV Ballast Water Treatment Solutions Business Manager, points out that the company is able to secure contracts with UV technology, compactness and competitive pricing.
