At 9:20 in the morning, with the order of the on-site command, the 18,500-ton hydraulic press and the 750-ton-meter operating machine were quickly linked. After about 10 minutes, a very large steel ingot weighing 438 tons was slowly moved to the 18,500 ton hydraulic press table under the strong grip of 550 tons of forged crane. After two minutes, the upsetting operation of the 400-ton steel ingot was completed, and with the 750-ton-meter operating machine, the 438-ton steel ingot was forged as easily as the "kneading dough". About one hour later, the 18,500-ton hydraulic press and the 750-ton-meter operating machine successfully completed the upsetting process of 438 tons of steel ingots in strict accordance with the process requirements.
Ren Xinxin, chairman of CITIC Heavy Industries, said that the current specifications and power of the unit are the highest in the world, the maximum upsetting force is 18,500 tons, and the forging of 600 tons of steel ingots and 400 tons of forgings can be forged. The positive and negative errors of forgings are not exceeded. 2mm, the number of fast forging can reach more than 44 times per minute. Forging a forging can do 10 actions at the same time, and one person can operate it. In particular, its hydraulic transmission system uses the world's most advanced pump control technology, which can greatly reduce energy loss and achieve more than 20% energy saving effect compared with traditional valve control.
It is understood that since entering the trial production in March this year, the 18,500-ton free forging hydraulic press has undertaken a number of large forging production tasks, successfully completed the forging task of more than 110 steel ingots of 100-300 tons, and successfully realized the shaft class. And the molding and size control of various products such as plates, and the ability to produce large-scale forgings. The successful forging of 438 tons of extra large steel ingots is a large-scale key forging provided by CITIC Heavy Industries for Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel 4300 rolling mill. The forgings are double vacuum smelting, and the internal quality requirements are implemented according to the DANIELI standard of famous foreign metallurgical enterprises.
