Indian bulb manufacturer Eveready receives a large order for $2.67 million in LED tubes

According to reports, Indian LED manufacturer Eveready received a large order for 1.3 million LED tubes from the energy efficiency service company under the Ministry of Power, which is worth approximately INR 77.4 million (US$ 2.67 million). The company has received an award-winning notice from an energy efficiency service company, honouring its design and supply of 20W external slat LED tubes. Everready, a manufacturer of batteries and flashlights, has sold more than 1.2 billion batteries and nearly 25 million flashlights. The company also produces LED lights, energy-saving lamps, GLS lamps, other lighting products and small appliances. Energy Efficiency Services is a joint venture of the Indian National Power Group responsible for implementing efficient domestic lighting solutions in India. It promotes high quality LED bulbs in the country at a lower price. To date, EESL has promoted more than 10.77 million rupees of LED bulbs throughout India and has brought significant energy savings to the country and consumers.
