Large Domestic Hydrogenation Reactor Exported to India for the First Time

Recently, the delivery ceremony for the export of two large forge welding hydrogenation reactors jointly completed by China Petroleum Technology Development Corporation and China Yizhong Group was held at the Dalian Cotton Island Terminal. This is the first project of the three reactor projects won by China National Technical Development Corporation in India. It is also the first time that domestic large-scale hydrogenation reactors have entered the international market, marking the cooperation between China and India in the field of petrochemical equipment to a new level.
These two hydrogenation reactors are used for the expansion project of the Indian oil company Haldia refinery. They weigh more than 500 tons. They are the first products that have been designed, manufactured and stamped with ASME steel stamps in accordance with the US ASME standards. As a large-scale high-temperature and high-pressure thick-walled pressure vessel, its design and manufacturing process is complex, the project management is difficult, and the acceptance criteria are strict. Finally, it passed the verification of Harvard Steam Boiler Inspection Company and the entire process inspection of Lloyd's Industrial Technology Company.
The hydrogenation reactor is one of the core equipments in the petrochemical industry, but its technology has long been monopolized by a few developed countries. In July 2006, China National Petroleum Corporation and China jointly participated in the bidding for the hydrogenation reactor project of the Haldia refinery. They competed with internationally renowned companies and eventually won the bid in one fell swoop. During the implementation of the project, CNPC, with its own marketing network and professional management team, gave full play to its advantages in familiarizing with international trade standards and long-term operation of large-scale equipment export projects, carefully organizing and coordinating, and strengthening with the owners. The communication of all member units of the project was completed with the completion of the drawing materials and the preparation of program documents. The stationed special personnel were stationed at the production site to participate in the project management, and the various problems encountered in project implementation were coordinated and handled in a timely manner to facilitate the smooth implementation of the project.
