Rutile is mainly produced in coastal sand deposits. The mineral particles produced by such deposits are round and have little muddy matter. However, there is gravel accumulation under the sand layer, and the sea-forming sand mines above the coastline often have muddy soil. Seashore sand mines are an important source of titanium, zirconium , hafnium , tantalum and rare earth elements.

Beihai Concentrator is located in Beihai City, Guangxi Province, and mainly deals with the acquisition of inland ilmenite ore fine concentrate and coastal rutile sand concentrate. The production process is magnetic selection, electro-selection, re-selection, and magnetic selection. After selection, the ilmenite concentrate grade can reach Ti02 53%, and the rutile concentrate grade can reach Ti02 58%.
Located in Hainan Province, Wuchang Titanium Mine is the main producing area of ​​China's coastal titanium sand ore. The useful minerals in the ore are mainly ilmenite, rutile and zircon. They are produced by mobile mining and selection equipment and coarsely selected by conical concentrator. After the spiral chute is selected to obtain the coarse concentrate, it is sent to the selected plant to separate the ilmenite concentrate and the rutile concentrate by the combined process of heavy magnetic, electric and floating.
Panzhihua Vanadium- Titanium Magnetite is located in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province. It is the world's largest associated titanium deposit. The Ti02 reserves are more than 5 x 108t. It is now a Panzhihua Iron and Steel Company and is one of the main iron ore producers in China. The concentrator first sorts the iron concentrate from the ore by magnetic separation, and then sorts the ilmenite from the iron ore tailings. The production process is shown in Figure 1. In the production, ilmenite concentrate containing TiO2 >47% can be obtained, and the total recovery rate of titanium is about 20%.
