Shanghai Pilot First Gutter Oil Flow Monitoring System

Shanghai's first catering company, “Distrimmed Oil Flow Monitoring System” demonstration street, was built at the Biyun Sports and Leisure Center in Pudong. After more than 20 various catering companies installed high-efficiency oil-water separators, the separation rate of meal, kitchen and drowning water reached 99.76%. The separated flow of waste oil will be tracked in real time. This is also the nation’s first management platform for discarded edible oils and fats.

Biyun Sports and Leisure Center has densely distributed more than 20 specialty restaurants with international flavors. Shanghai Vantage and Jinqiao have installed free efficient intelligent oil-water separators for all catering companies in the region, and set up a flow monitoring platform for discarded edible oils and fats. In this way, the separated waste oil is connected to the monitoring center through the oil barrel of the device positioning device. All the waste oil separated by the oil-water separator can be tracked in real time.

The technicians mentioned that the separation process does not require manual digging and the entire kitchen environment can be greatly improved. The separated waste oil will be recovered by a qualified company and converted into biodiesel. At present, Shanghai can recover more than 60 tons of waste oil every day.

A related person pointed out that the establishment of the platform will help the layout of the information flow of the city's monitoring system, and fundamentally eliminate the phenomenon of waste oil flowing back to the table.
