Basic information of Marine Airbags

Ship launching air-bags are known as inflatable marine airbags, roller bags, air lift bags, and salvage airbags. The diameter of the airbags ranges from 0.8 meters to 2.5 meters, wight effective length of 5.0 meters to 24.0 meters.



Application of Ship Launching Marine Airbags ( Balloon)

Ship launching balloon are used for ship launching, haulouts, loading and floating. They are widely used in cargo boat launching and landing, lifting and moving sunken ships, and salvaging stranded boats. Air bags have the benefit of not only saving labor and time, but investment costs.

Pneumatic roller-bags relieve the restriction of traditional slide-board technology which is commonly used in building small or medium size ships, and it provides an economical alternative to expensive dry docks.

Air Bags ( Balloons) also allow for the landing of vessels in locations previously restricted only to dry docks.

Due to the advantages of launching airbags itself and requirement of the vessel salvage and rescue industry, marine airbags are used for buoyancy bags ( rollers bag), pontoon for supporting docks and other floating structures. Airbags are also excellent for pipe-laying and other underwater construction projects to supply supporting buoyancy. But the common use of "Salvage Marine Airbags" is in shipwreck salvage, floating bridge and dock construction, rescue, and removal of wrecked ships and beached vessels, ground ships.

Airbags could be tied vertically to right sunken vessels out of deep water. When the boat is suspended near the surface they can be slung under the boat with one end on each side to raise the boat high enough out of the water to pump it out. In shallow water two bags can be slungogether like pontoons, one on each side of the boat. They can also be used as roller for moving beached boat back into the water. Just like ship launching airbags.
