1, location needs
For surveillance cameras, the location is directly related to the imaging effect of the device. Therefore, many users regard the monitoring effect as the primary reference for monitoring the installation position of the camera. However, they ignore the very important point: surveillance cameras are not omnipotent. In terms of installation location, it also has its own requirements. 3, the installation height

Alternatively, install a small waterproof case under the surveillance camera and place the power supply and connectors in a waterproof case.

There are two kinds of power supply modes: DC DC power supply and POE power supply. The PoE power supply is powered by the DC power supply. Compared with the two power supply modes, PoE power supply is more compact and the cost may be lower than that of non-PoE power supply.
5, the needs of the lighting environment
In order to avoid reflections and shadows when using surveillance cameras at night, lighting equipment is usually required, and infrared lamps can be used instead of ordinary light bulbs. However, users must use black and white surveillance cameras and network surveillance cameras with infrared lighting because black and white surveillance cameras are more sensitive to infrared light, while color surveillance cameras are not capable of infrared.
Nowadays, many cameras have begun to adopt wide dynamic functions to enhance their imaging capabilities in backlight conditions. However, this does not mean that the camera can continue to work in a strong light environment. Because under the glare of the strong light, the direct glare easily causes the camera to locate the accurate image normally, which eventually causes the color filter on the sensor wafer to discolor, causing the camera to appear streak in the monitoring image.
Therefore, if possible, we should make the camera in a "smooth" mode as much as possible, but in any case, we must avoid direct stimulation of the camera lens by glare for a long time.
In order to monitor the night, you have to use IPC with good night vision. The night vision distance is mainly determined by the number of infrared lamps. The night vision distance of a single lamp is 30 meters, and the night vision distance of a double lamp is 50 meters.
6, cable and connector:
For network cameras, its line erection is obviously more abundant than traditional analog devices. However, no matter which transmission method is used, interference is one of the problems we have to pay attention to. Especially for the video signal transmitted by cable, the same direction transmission of the signal line and the high-power wire is undoubtedly a taboo in the wiring process, and it is not allowed to put the two in the same transmission line tube for the convenience of construction.
