China is especially important for pressure sensor suppliers used for manifold pressure measurement. Diesel engines also require atmospheric pressure sensors and high-pressure monitors for common fuel rails, although China has not yet adopted such powertrains as in Europe. European car standards are emulated by China. Due to some regulations recently introduced by China, a large number of TPMS are required for security. More common sensors such as airbag accelerometers have become standard equipment in Chinese cars.
