The loss rate of manufacturing enterprises in China is decreasing

The Blue Book of China Manufacturing Enterprise Quality Management (2016) published by the China Quality Association on the 10th shows that the quality of China's manufacturing companies has risen steadily, and the quality loss rate has continued to decline.
According to the “Blue Book”, the China Quality Association launched the third survey of the status quo of quality management of manufacturing enterprises in 2016. The scope of the survey included companies in the 28 industries in the national economy classification C13-C41. The effective number of companies surveyed was 1,830. The survey results showed that the average rate of passing qualifications of products reported by the surveyed companies was 96.1%, compared with 95.8% in 2013.
The average mass loss rate reported by the surveyed enterprises was 1.83%, which was continuously lower than 2.43% in 2013 and 2.79% in 2009 (general equipment and food manufacturing).
The percentage of companies reporting the implementation of quality management methods such as lean management, quality control (QC) team, and trustworthy team were 50.4% and 87.9%, respectively, which were 14.5% and 11.7% higher than 2013, respectively.
According to the "Blue Book," the survey results reflect that the overall maturity of China's manufacturing quality management is relatively low, and there are significant differences among different regions, scales, and industries. R & D and technical quality management are weak. The level of scientific, data, and refined quality control in manufacturing processes is generally insufficient. There are major opportunities for China's manufacturing industry in improving quality, reducing costs, and upgrading brands.
