ZF expects sales to exceed $20.2 billion this year

Hans-Georg Härter, chief executive of ZF, expects the company's sales to reach a record high in 2011, exceeding 15.5 billion euros (about 20.2 billion U.S. dollars), up 20% year-on-year.

For each market, ZF expects sales in the North American market to increase by 40% year-on-year; South America market to increase by 15%; European market sales will increase by 20% year-on-year, including Western Europe market growth of 30%; Asia Pacific market sales Or it will increase by 10% year-on-year.

ZF expects that this year the company will invest more than 1 billion euros (about 1.3 billion U.S. dollars) in the construction of new expansion plants, acquisitions of other companies' businesses, and investments in technology. This year, the number of ZF employees worldwide will increase by 7,500 to 72,100.

As for 2012, Härter expects that the company's sales will increase by 1 billion euros (about 1.3 billion U.S. dollars) year-on-year, the total investment will reach 1.4 billion euros (about 1.8 billion U.S. dollars), and the number of employees will increase by 4,500.
