American Axle Manufacturing Company AAM has appointed Donald L. Joseph as the new president and is responsible for the business in Asia.
After taking up the new position, Donald L. Joseph will still be responsible for AAM's manufacturing and engineering business in Asia, and will work for AAM's Asian headquarters in Shanghai.
Donald L. Joseph took up the job at GM in 1977, then joined AAM as a production manager in 1994, and then began to take charge of AAM's Asian operations and participate in AAM's global operations.
Prior to this, Donald L. Joseph received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Western Michigan University.
U.S. Axle manufactures and designs automotive power transmission systems and related components , chassis systems, and metal forming products for light, passenger, crossover, and commercial vehicles. AAM currently has operations in Asian countries such as China, India and Japan.
