China's large-scale CNC machine tool technology has made a major breakthrough

Good news came from Central South University. The H2000C spiral bevel gear milling machine and H2000G spiral bevel gear grinding machine, which were developed by Professor Zeng Jun, a doctoral tutor of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, were put into use in Zhuzhou a few days ago. The spiral bevel gear with a diameter of 1400 mm will go to Beijing to participate in the Beijing International Machine Tool Exhibition held on the 11th of this month. The successful development of this equipment has filled yet another gap in domestic high-performance and complex equipment manufacturing, and also announced that China's large-scale spiral bevel gear processing has long been dependent on imports for history.

Large-sized spiral bevel gears are widely used in large-scale speed reducers in pillar industries such as mining, metallurgy, building materials, and energy. In the past, our country relied on imports for a long time and was expensive. Its processing equipment is currently only produced in Germany in the world. The research and development team of “Digital Equipment and Computing and Manufacturing” led by Professor Zeng Zeng, the H2000C spiral bevel gear milling machine and the H2000G spiral bevel gear grinding machine developed by the company have adopted the gravity center drive, online measurement, on-line dynamic balance, and ultrasonics. A series of new technologies, such as monitoring and grinding wheel wear compensation, with a maximum machining diameter of 2000 mm, a maximum machining tooth depth of 90 mm, a maximum tooth width of 350 mm and a workpiece spindle diameter of 400 mm, are the world's largest high-end CNC spirals. Bevel gear machines represent the highest level of spiral bevel gear machining technology and equipment in China.

According to reports, large spiral bevel gear milling machines and grinding machines are up to 5.2 meters, weighing nearly 100 tons, using all-digital control. Not only the processing cycle is greatly shortened, but also the processing cost is only about half of the price of imported products. Two pairs of spiral bevel gears with a diameter of 1900 mm have been processed for our oil companies. The users are very satisfied with the current processing orders.
