Hyundai Ouchi LPG SAFE design approved by DNV GL principle

At the International Gas Technology Show (Gastech 2017) in Tokyo, DNV GL awarded the Principle Approval (AIP) certificate for LPG SAFE, a double-sided hull LPG ship designed for Hyundai Tsuyoshi Shipbuilding. The LPG SAFE development project was completed in close cooperation with DNV GL by Hyundai Tsukiura Shipbuilding, which meets the new DNV GL classification requirements for ships.

Â Â Â Â Â LPG SAFE is the first 38K LPG ship design that will provide double-sided hull safety benefits while shipping capacity and construction costs are the same as conventional designs.

Â Â Â Â Â The LPG SAFE design will greatly enhance the protection of the tank, especially in the event of a collision.
