Lanzhou Chemical Industrial Park "Twelfth Five-Year" Looks at Bayer and other development

On the afternoon of December 24th, the “Twelfth Five-Year” development plan (discussion draft) of the petrochemical industry of Lanzhou passed the initial evaluation of experts. The plan prepared by the Lanzhou City Industrial and Information Technology Committee puts forward the planning goals, industrial direction, safeguard measures and proposed projects for the “Twelfth Five-Year” Lanzhou petrochemical industry. According to this plan, during the planning period of 2011-2015, the total investment of Lanzhou petrochemical industry will reach 53.8 billion yuan; by 2015, Lanzhou petrochemical industry will realize sales revenue of 183 billion yuan.
According to the relevant person in charge of the City Industry and Information Technology Committee, during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, there are 52 major investment projects in the petrochemical industry in Lanzhou City. The total investment of the project is nearly 53.8 billion yuan, and the annual sales revenue can be increased by 64 billion yuan.
The plan also portrays the future Lanzhou Petrochemical Park as a “golden platform” for attracting investment. In the next few years, Lanzhou’s chemical park will target internationally renowned petrochemical companies such as Bayer, DuPont, BP, and Mitsui Chemicals, etc. Extend supporting projects, focusing on the development of petrochemical derivatives and high value-added products.
